Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join their client's team in California on a temporary-to-hire basis. This position is integral to the finance department, ensuring that all financial obligations are met accurately and timely. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process vendor invoices and ensure timely payment.
  • Maintain vendor files and records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures and generate reports as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to resolve any payment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Provide support for audits and assist in implementing improvements to accounts payable processes.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in accounts payable or a related financial role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Required Work Hours

Standard work hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Additional Details

The pay range for this position is between $24.00 and $27.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
